Week 6-7

These weeks we have finally begun to put together the play, with Yuya finishing the puppets and Ahmed finishing the music. Not only that but we have also finished deciding the voice actors:

  • Blyatscovich-Sultan
  • Steven-Sameer
  • Security-Oliver
  • Narrator (ending)-Oliver
  • Big Jaw-Sultan
  • Frank-Michael
  • Strange Man-Sultan/Danil

Week 3-5 Reflection

These few weeks we had progressed on the tracks whilst still waiting for the script from Jad. We have a "theme"  song and a few other "sub-songs"  which  will be played during pauses, scene changes and new character introductions, which will be uploaded on michael's blog below:

Weeks 2-4 Reflection

These few weeks we hadn't really had much contact with the art group, excluding week 4, and had been progressing quite well in terms of our music.  All we are waiting for so far is Jad to write the script as we had finished the scary tracks whilst the art group had finished their puppets. We also filled in the planning paper whilst beginning to asign roles to people as in who they will play.

Term 2 Art: Blog Entry Week 2 and 3

Inquiry Question: What is the relationship between the Arts and audiences.

Why do we share stories? We do in order to entertain ourselves (usually) or to pass down important parts of our culture down.
How can stories help us navigate through life? They can help us in many ways, including helping us understand other religions, finding out more about the earth around us and about people.
How do artists create layers of narrative in our art form? They do so by implementing many different sub-plots and characters.

During today's lesson, we had used our ballads and horror stories from English to create a Phantasmagoria Lightshow. Some of the ideas we had was to use our stories but mix them together, to use scary sounds from thebinternet and pictures thst could scare people.
We had also tried to adapt it closer to the 21st century by using things such as photo editing softwares, photoshop etc.
(This picture shows the pepper's ghost effect.)

A video we had created (i did all of the editing.) :

Term 2 Art: Blog Entry Week 1

Inquiry Question: What is the relationship between the Arts and audiences?

Today, we had presented our PowerPoint on Phantasmagoria Lightshows.  We had been put in groups to research on Phantasmagoria Lightshows and the magic lantern.  I'd been in a group with Teresa and Tanya and we'd staeted later due to all of us arriving after the first lesson.  We had split our jobs equally, i did the last two slides, Tanya did 2 near the middle and Teresa did the first few.
